Musically, C'est La Vie started as me thinking about the Parry Mason theme song. I grabbed my guitar and spent almost no time trying to figure out the song but instead found my self playing this chord arrangement connected by bass riffs that inspired me. With no lyrics, I thought back to any time I took public transit in Toronto - how boring and impersonal it was. The bridge seems familiar to me as a daydreamer trying to pass the time in the subway. I have some great video ideas I'd like to invoke for this song
