This song started as an assignment for a Berklee Commercial Songwriting course. I was staying a friend who was away, and I used her shower to practice because the acoustics were great. She came home unexpectedly, heard me singing, and grabbed her camera — so I actually have the song “being born.” It’s a breakup song, and you can hear some of that raw breakup angst in the vocal. The original shower video still exists.
